2025 Year in Review: Innovation & Efficiency

Welcome to your December newsletter

2025 was a meaningful year for me and for Accelerated Innovation. It was also a year that tested how advisory work is delivered. As budgets tightened and focus shifted from growth to productivity, leaders were no longer looking for long timelines or abstract frameworks. They wanted clarity, speed, and evidence they could trust. Much of the work this year sat at that intersection, helping boards and executive teams make confident decisions faster, and with less friction.

Across the year, our engagements helped clients avoid more than $500k in traditional consulting fees and save over a year of delivery time. Projects that would typically run for months and require six-figure budgets were delivered in weeks, without sacrificing rigour or governance. Client satisfaction remained a genuine point of pride, with a Net Promoter Score of +100 and no engagements paused or stopped early. Those outcomes shaped many of the ideas you’ll see reflected throughout this edition.

We also invested heavily in assets designed to scale beyond one-to-one work. Get S#!t Done was distributed to more than 400 leaders globally and received unanimously positive feedback, reinforcing how common the challenge of execution has become inside complex organisations. Our 2025 Private Health and General Insurance Innovation Reports were downloaded more than 1,500 times and are now being used as practical reference points for conversations about investment, prioritisation, and future readiness, underpinned by the PHI FACTORS™ and Innovation COMPASS™ frameworks.

This year’s conversations extended well beyond written work. Through webinars with industry associations, time on the ground at the Digital Health Festival and the AFR Healthcare Summit, and two full seasons of the Innovation Insider podcast, a consistent theme emerged. Innovation works best when it starts with people, is supported by clear architecture, and is anchored in real system constraints. The featured podcast episodes and thought leadership pieces in this edition pick up those threads directly.

One of the most rewarding developments in 2025 was the introduction of our scenario planning workshop. It’s now helping leadership teams step out of day-to-day pressure and engage more deliberately with the future of insurance and healthcare. That same future orientation runs through this newsletter, from the AMA’s latest PHI Report Card, to emerging care models in obesity and chronic disease, to practical frameworks like the Sprint Plan that make progress predictable rather than dependent on goodwill.

Before closing out the year, I want to say thank you. Thank you for the support, generosity, and engagement throughout 2025, whether that was reading, listening, attending, challenging ideas, or working together directly. None of this work exists in isolation, and I’m genuinely grateful for the trust and curiosity this community brings.

I hope you’re able to switch off, spend time with people who matter, and enjoy the festive season. I’m incredibly excited about what lies ahead in 2026 and look forward to continuing the conversation in the new year.

🎄 Seasons greetings
